10 Gun Bills Filed on First Day of New Congress

From USA Today:

WASHINGTON — Ten bills dealing with gun control were among the first introduced in the 113th Congress, according to a review of documents filed on the first day of the session.

All but two of the measures introduced by House lawmakers on Thursday advocated for more restrictions on firearms and were introduced by Democrats.

I am so unsurprised by this.

For those who might find that bizarre, consider that “gun free zones” attach criminal penalties to gun possession.  For madmen intent on murder, they provide victim disarmament zones.  An anti-gun bill called “The Disarm The Shepards of Our Children So They Can Be Murdered Act of 2013″ wouldn’t pass.

  1. Shouldn’t Rep Moran be looking to provide for greater safety in the use of trashcans?
