From TheMentalRecession:

Hudson city Alderman, Dave Marston, has found himself in a bit of hot water after an e-mail exchange that saw him refer to Second Amendment supporters as “gun-toting Tea Party psychotards”, implying that all gun supporters are “unemployed”, threatened to “beat you barbarians back”, and tosses in a Nazi reference for good measure.

A woman who was organizing protests against the Orwellian-named NY SAFE ACT, Ms. Joanna Johnson-Smith, wrote that she’d be attending a protest rally, and noted the overwhelming opposition to the act by pretty much everyone everywhere except the Ruling Class in NY.

Let’s just let the Alderman speak for himself:

    Dear Joanna Johnson-Smith,

Its really neat that all you gun toting tea party psychotards are so interested in the goings on of our little City, even though I find it amazing that you don’t have any other pressing issues before you in New Lebanon. On the other hand, I guess its not surprising, considering you ideologues aren’t interested in actual policy, but rather grandstanding on mythical narratives of victimization.

Two things: The only spit here is the white stuff frothing on the ends of that rotten little mouth of yours from which you spew this hateful ignorant trash. And a donkeys behind? The rabid ignorance of the fringe is best illustrated by its sad metaphors, I mean seriously, thank you for the laughs.

By all means, come on down, we’ll be happy to beat you barbarians back with the clubs of reason & responsibility, radical lunatics that you are. And say, a quick ProTip, since you’re the “organizer” for unemployed guns nuts USA. Next time you think these unhinged rants will change the mind of anyone who has even a modicum of intelligence, you might instead just go back down into your basement & watch another episode of wheel-of-fortune. It’ll certainly be just as effective. Remember: there are millions of Eagle Scout God Worshiping Patriots who find you & your radical ilk as disgraceful to American Democracy as the Brown Shirt jackboots you act like. I happen to be just one of them. Good Luck.

Best Regards,
David Marston

NY Assemblyman Steve McLaughlin, already noteworth for exposing the Democrat’s confiscation agenda, has the entire email exchange hosted here.

Contrast that exchange with the one of Wyoming Representative Hans Hunt with a rabid leftist.  Hunt is responding to someone new from out of state who demands that he comply with the newcomer’s demands – the same newcomers are demanding the ideas they ran from in other states be implemented in a new state.  They’re trying to move in and impose unwanted restrictions on the natives who elected Hunt to preserve their liberties, and also on the newcomers who moved to assimilate to the cultural virtues they embrace.  Marston is insulting natives to his own state – residents who don’t like how their government is changing for it’s own ends, and who are trying to stop it as their own representatives don’t represent them.

Hunt is representing the people who elected him.  Marston is dictating to them.  Hunt is firm but fed up, Marston is just an asshole.

MenRec:

On a side note, Marston was the candidate of choice for the SEIU this past election - the same SEIU that recently tried to organize a pro-gun control rally in Albany by teaming up with Obama’s campaign arm, and paying protesters to attend.

It’ll never happen, not with this president.

Having said that, coud it possibly be for the first time in several decades, that we may actually have statesmen in the federal government?

Mike Lee, Rand Paul, and Jim Demint have proposed a plan to accomplish to the following:

  • Cut 9+ trillion off of the budget over the next 10 year
  • eliminate 4 federal bureaucracies (energy, education, commerce and HUD)
  • Repeal every last ugly line of the monstrosity known as Obamacare
  • Reform federal entitlements
  • Balance the fedgov budget in five years
  • stop the national debt

The plan itself even outlines privatising the TSA, reigning in the EPA, reducing foreign aid to other country’s at the 5 billion dollar mark, selling off federal land to combat the deficit, and closing other unconstitutional/unaffordable fedgov agency’s or programs.

This plan should be read, studied and passed if it is deemed worthy. The fedgov’s spending is out of control thanks to our president and his senate. This plan would give the tea party and House republicans something to stand on when they have been criticized by our beloved leader and his cronies of not having any plan whatsoever, even though Paul Ryan’s budget proposal from last year comes to mind.

There will be a, “wailing and nashing of teeth” by all the leftist, but seriously, something needs to be done. The country’s credit rating, the president’s obvious spend and tax attitude, the struggling economy all dictate that serious measures must be taken to save the United States from the brink of collapse.

These gentlemen need to be heard and allowed to express their view to all citizens of the United States and this is our attempt to get the word out. Please be sure to contact your senators and congressional reps and encourage them to accept this proposal.

On October 26, the Tea Party in Richmond, VA, noted that the Occupy Richmond protesters got their public space and services for free, and so the Richmond Tea Party requested a refund for the fees and permits they had to pay for to demonstrate.

RICHMOND, VA (WTVR) – The Richmond Tea Party is asking the city of Richmond for its money back. They say they’re not happy to hear that Occupy Richmond protesters get to stay in Kanawha Plaza – for free.

In April, the Richmond Tea Party held a Tax Day Rally in Kanawha Plaza. They say before they could use the city venue they were charged nearly $10,000 and had to comply with a series of usage forms and procedures.

Colleen Owens, a spokesperson for the Tea Party, says it’s obvious the Occupy demonstrators are not being held to the same standard. “We followed the rules, we followed the law, we got all the permits, we paid all the fees, we had to jump through all the hoops that they asked us to.”

“And they’re not having to pay for the park, they’re not getting permits, they’re not paying for police, they’re not paying for port-o-potties, they’re not paying for emergency personnel,” Owens says.

“Everything that we were required to do,” she adds.

Owens says the Tea Party hopes to get an invoice into the Mayor’s office this week and ask for a refund.

“It’s not fair, the City of Richmond’s picking and choosing whose First Amendment rights trump someone else’s First Amendment rights and we thought–well that’s fine–then they can refund our money,” she says.

“If that’s how they’re going to run the city then they owe us our fees back.”

Today, the mayor of Richmond has responded by auditing the Richmond Tea Party.  From spokeswoman Colleen Owens:

Two weeks after the Richmond Tea Party delivered an invoice to Richmond Mayor Dwight Jones for costs incurred for previous rallies, we received a letter from the City of Richmond formally stating that the city is auditing our Tea Party. Coincidence? This audit is an obvious attempt to intimidate and harass us for standing up against the unfair treatment and discrimination against our Tea Party.

The Mayor not only allowed the Occupiers to break the law, but he visited them in the city-owned park. “Jones said that as a ‘child of civil rights’ and protests, he had allowed the group to remain in the park but understands his mayoral responsibility to uphold laws of the city,” reported the Richmond Times Dispatch.

Apparently his mayoral duties included preferential treatment for a group he sympathizes with ideologically at the expense of the taxpayers.

Our actions apparently struck a nerve. Our invoice to the Mayor was covered by hundreds of news outlets, including the AP, Richmond Times Dispatch, Baltimore Sun, and the Washington Post. On October 31, I appeared on Fox Business, Neil Cavuto’s show, and was interviewed about our actions. Reportedly, at least two Richmond City Council members agreed with our plight. “I guess we’ll be writing a check to the Tea Party people,” said Councilman Bruce W. Tyler, as quoted in the Richmond Times Dispatch. “You can’t treat one group different from the other. It’s unfair.”

In the audit letter signed by Cynthia Carr, Field Auditor for the City of Richmond, it states that our Tea Party is delinquent in filing of Admissions, Lodging, and Meals Taxes with the city and as such our group has been targeted for a comprehensive audit. Well, aren’t we special? In fact, as part of the Business License we have with the City, a form is filled out by our treasurer every month (as required). We have never charged admission or had lodging or meals associated with our rallies. Every month the forms are appropriately filled with zeros. Ms. Carr goes on to say that if we don’t respond within 15 days, the City will make a statutory assessment–meaning they’ll pick an amount to charge us.

So the City and Mayor apparently feel that the Richmond Tea Party has not paid its fair share for use of Kanawha Plaza. We challenged the Mayor’s unequal treatment between groups and he responded with even more unequal treatment.

Over at the Todd Kinsey blog:

Many more examples here.

But all it takes is a google search to find a few more – this is one of the first results for Tea Party movement:

Versus this:

The first is critical of governmental policies that harm all who are on their way up, regardless of where they are, while the other is a demand to harm those who have done well.  One criticizes the Crab in the Bucket, while the other is the angry crab that is jealous someone else is doing well.

The People’s Cube sums much of it up well.

The basic argument of the Occupy Wall Street crowd is “we’re mad because we’re poor and you’re not, you’re greedy and we want your stuff”.

Scrolling down through a few pages of the “we are the 99%” site illustrates this:

The immediate question is “why go to college to accumulate $50K in debt?”  Then, “how are high tuition rates the fault of Wall Street?”

Thomas Sowell did a three-part series explaining why education costs so much.  First part herePart 2Part 3.

From Part 3:

Why does college cost so much?

There are two basic reasons. The first is that people will pay what the colleges charge. The second is that there is little incentive for colleges to reduce the tuition they charge.

Those who want the government to provide subsidies to help meet the high cost of college seem not to consider whether government subsidies might have contributed to the high cost of college in the first place.

In any kind of economic transaction, it seldom makes sense to charge prices so high that very few people can afford to pay them. But, with the government ready to step in and help whenever tuition is “unaffordable,” why not charge more than the traffic will bear and bring in Uncle Sam to make up the difference?

The president of a small college once told me that, if he charged tuition that was affordable, even an institution the size of his would lose millions of dollars of government money every year.

In a normal market situation, each competing enterprise has an incentive to lower prices if that would attract business away from competitors and increase its profits.

Unfortunately, the academic world is not a normal market situation.

So why are you mad at Wall Street again?  The Tea Party was mad at high taxation.  The Wall Street people are just angry leftists.

So let’s see… you spent enough money on your college degrees to acquire a job that can barely pay your self-imposed bills.  Guess what, ma’am?  You made your bed.  Wall Street is not to blame  for your problems.  You incurred your college debt yourself.  You choose where to live.  Those bills are yours to bear – you chose them.  Since you lose a third of your income to taxes… why are you mad at Wall Street exactly?  They don’t tax you.  Government does.  Sounds like you’re… Taxed Enough Already?

And then, there’s this unemployed printer repairman:

This guy’s story went so far as to be read on Glenn Beck’s radio show.

$87,000 in student loans isn’t at all out of line with the kinds of pics that people put up.  There are plenty of folks with more in loans.  I can’t imagine how bad it must be to have to clean the bathrooms at Ryan’s Steak House.  It must be terrible to be a basement dweller with a bunch of cats you can’t afford to feed.  It probably limits the time he gets to spend on GD upping his post count.

Sharp folks were mad that someone living in his mom’s basement could afford gear from Larue Tactical (that’s where the hat is from).  Very sharp folks recognized that symbol in the Arizona outline as being the bolt face of an AR.

Really sharp folks knew this.

The Occupy Wall Street people are folks who’ve made poor decisions and are looking for a scapegoat for their own poor decisions.  They’re mad, and they’re being used by leftists (or are leftists) who want to wreck the system.  They’re Cloward and Piven peons.  They’re so absurd in some cases that they’re indistinguishable from parody, as the “printer repairman” evidences.  He probably has to put beans in his chili he’s so poor.  He probably can’t afford to get both.

Now consider this:

I spent $100,000 of someone else’s money, didn’t plan well enough to finish! Waaaah!  I spent $100,000 and can’t pay bills and can’t get a job… but I still spent $100,000!  My mom is bankrupt and I didn’t learn from her lesson!  I spent $100,000 on nothing!  It’s someone else’s fault!  Waaah!  They Fxxxxx this whole world up to their necks in debt!  I spent $100,000 and it’s their fault!  I’m the epitomy of everything that’s wrong because it’s their fault!  Waaaah!

Now, this whining, petulant snot who wasted $100,000 in college is so absurd that it could well be parody.  That someone would spend $100,000 and achieve nothing, and yet complain that his own failings are someone else’s fault and that someone should be held accountable for his own errors – when he had a ready example in what not to do from his bankrupt single mother – well, I can’t tell if it’s a joke.  This almost looks like parody, but it’s so heartfelt that it must be real.  This idiot must really think he’s owed by someone else for his own failures.

You burn 100 grand and you whine you need more money?  What are you, government?

According to Teamster Union boss Jimmy Hoffa, the Teamsters are now a part of an army that is in a direct position to give war to the Tea Party. My question is for what reason? For what purpose? Hear is a video with Mr. Hoffa’s exact words:

Ok, there you go, pretty straight forward I would think. An army, for Obama, against the Tea Party. Als,o for a very nice rundown and op-ed of Mr. Hoffa’s words I would direct you to The Conservative Crusader Blog. Are normal Americans ready for what is coming? The Leftist in the United States are poised for a final showdown. They want to collapse the system and put in place a “fundamentally changed” America, one where wealth redistribution, segregation by voting block, a command economy, cradle to grave welfare, and perpetual serfdom, for those of us who do work, will be the norm. Is that the type of country anyone is ready to live in?

Mr. Williams from the Conservation Crusader certainly believes that we are headed towards civil war. Taxpayers, Veterans, entrepreneurs versus, Unions, illegal aliens, class warfare indoctrinated minorities, as well as representatives of the federal government itself. Are you ready? They sure seems to be….

For the record, I belong to a private sector union, at least as private as can one be I suppose. Since democrats have been in power I can attest to the increase in Union power and all forms of social justice that the leftist preach. For instance a “safety” bill was signed into law in 2008 which prohibits a man from working for then 6 days at a time for “safety reasons.” In practice it forced my industry to hire more workers they wouldn’t other wise need to cover shortfalls in manpower, it also forces me to miss two days of work without any type of compensation. So in turn, the union receives more dues for more workers because the industry is forced to hire more people, at the same time it makes me two, possibly 3 days less pay in any given pay period. So this is another example of how elements of the leftist movement in the United States work. Legislative efforts made to force business to comply with law and regulation that is deemed necessary for safety reasons, but in practice reduces the actual pay of individuals, usually the lower level workers, while the union’s treasury feasts off the law. Which the union in turn gives some of that money back to Democrat election coffers.

It’s a never-ending cycle, wait a second it might be ending sooner than we all think if the policies in place today are allowed to continue too much farther into the future. Oh yeah, I almost forgot, I’ll be on the side of those who stand for the Constitution.

In a recent article which can be found here, an editor of the Vanity Fair magazine tells the American electorate to “Man up” and stop acting like angry, hormonal teenagers. Here are a few points I would like to highlight about this piece of writing:

1. He believes the American electorate to be a bunch of self possessed teenagers who are acting out at their parents, i.e. the government. It has to be mentioned that this is a definite liberal sentiment, that “they” (statist, modern liberals, socialist etc.) know what is best for you, just like your parents did. They want “the best” for you but with that comes the erosion of your personal responsibility by the statist government. Some examples include New York state regulating your salt intake, and a general push in some states to not allow vending machines on school campuses for “the good of the children.” It also includes determining if you should receive healthcare if your 65 years old or a new born infant because some government bureaucrat has decided he knows better the a physician does.

2. He also is still clinging to racism alledgedlly perpetrated upon President Obama by the American people especially those that love their guns and are just angry white folks. Look at Lt. Colonel Allen West in Florida, look at all the African American voters that stood within and with out the tea party this last election. This has nothing to do with race. It has everything to do with the Obama Regime’s agenda and a congress that was owned lock, stock and barrel by statist and followed regime’s whims. Even then the regime couldn’t always do what it wanted. People forget about the statist super majority and the senate and healthcare almost failed anyhow.

The gentleman from Vanity Fair attempts to sound a moderate but it is evident he is not. He clings to the liberal argument that the majority of this country is racist and hates Obama when in reality its the Obama Agenda that is truly despised. He wants to get back to the days of “moderate” President Bill Clinton which he apparently forgets was forced to the center after the statist attempted to pass healtcare reform during his first term and was “shouted at” by us angry teenagers. He also points out that what makes this national “teenage backlash” worse is that us right wingers like our guns and that statement further implicates this gentleman as another statist that just doesn’t get it.

Statist will never understand conservative principles of freedom, liberty, nor personal responsibility. They want to take care of us…. The only problem is “We The People” grew up between 2008 and 2010 and we want our government back.

From the New York Post:

President Obama came out yesterday and was attempting to align himself with the Tea Party movement.

Oh yes, a definte laugh, or should this be a sign of concern for the mental state of our leader? This is the same man who TRIPLED the deficit of his not so popular republican predecessor. This is also the man that has spent more money than ALL OTHER presidential administrations combined. This is the man who has done everything he can with the support of the most liberal congress ever to centralize power in the hands of the federal government. The Healthcare bill fiasco, the 2nd stimulus, tripling the size of Americorps, attempting to shackle the populace with cap and trade all belong under this man’s name. He now expects you all to believe that he is a fiscally responsible conservative president, that favors limited government and that the populace being wary of the government is a good thing? One word will some that up:

WOW.

Now he says that the Tea Party has misdirected itself. It should be angry with the republicans still in office. Guess what Mr. President…. We are. We are mad at both sides of this mess because it took both for us to be in the situation we are in. But right now YOU and YOUR party have exclusive control of the federal government. You and your party are spending out of control, yes we do know that the occasional RINO votes along with you, they are being revealed and being marked for replacement in the coming November election as well. You and your ilk, Mr. President, think the citizens of this country are stupid and cannot keep up with politics nor understand the arguments. The Tea Party itself, made up of both democrats and republicans sees right through you, your party and your lies.

Mr. President, the nation is very disappointed with you, even your misguided followers, who think you are not doing even to “fundamentally transform” these United States. Now it is the citizen’s turn, Mr. President, on 2 November we intend to fundamentally transform Washington D.C.
