From CNS News:
“To shed some more light on the magazine situation at present, it really has been unprecedented in the last 5 days. During a roughly 72 hour period…we sold the ‘average demand’ equivalent of about 3.5 years worth of PMAGS, and an even greater amount of our Brownells magazines.”
Yet there are cries from the leftist would-be tyrants that they want more control over the citizen:
In the interview, Mr. Cuomo did not offer specifics about the measures he might propose, but, while discussing assault weapons, he said: “Confiscation could be an option. Mandatory sale to the state could be an option. Permitting could be an option — keep your gun but permit it.”
Confiscation by any other name, and permits just mean you’re asking the state for permission to exercise a right. Anyone with children (or who remembers being a child) knows that permission is easily revoked, and exists at the interests of the one with authority. This is not the relationship that exists between free men and the state.
“I don’t think there’s anybody that’s defended the Second Amendment as much as I have, Ray,” Mr. Bloomberg said to a caller who asked him why he was “so against” the constitutional passage .
None of this will work. Every attack on people who are free will backfire.
