Well, if we’re plugging “loopholes”, may as well plug the one that let Gabby Giffords’ anti-gun space cadet husband and leader of ARS (so-called “Americans for Responsible Solutions”) used to buy an AR:
Kelly reportedly bought the AR-15 and a 1911-style semi-automatic pistol at a gun store in Tucson, Arizona.
Breitbart News received a tip on this when Neil McCabe, editor of Guns & Patriots newsletter, contacted us on March 7 and said:
Mark E. Kelly, made purchases which included an AR-15–sometimes described as an “assault rifle”–at 3:30 pm on the afternoon of March 5 at Diamondback Police Supply, 170 S. Kolb Street, Tucson, AZ.
Wait, he bought a gun at a police supply store? They have public sales, but isn’t that just the least bit ironic, considering he’s opposed to people having guns – so he buys at a police supply store?
According to McCabe, witnesses to the purchases claimed Kelly purchased “high capacity” magazines as well.
They have those in stock?
From space cadet’s FB page:
Looks like the judiciary committee will vote on background checks next week. I just had a background check a few days ago when I went to my local gun store to buy a 45. As I was leaving, I noticed a used AR-15. Bought that too. Even to buy an assault weapon, the background check only takes a matter of minutes. I don’t have possession yet but I’ll be turning it over to the Tucson PD when I do. Scary to think of people buying guns like these without a background check at a gun show or the Internet. We really need to close the gun show and private seller loop hole.
And he calls this “Americans for Responsible Solutions”? He’s shocked that a law-abiding citizen (albeit a staggeringly ideologically foolish one) can buy a gun? He mocks the “matter of minutes” and demands that his own rights be infringed upon. His solution is disarmament, which always leads to tyranny of the individual by those who rule and dictate in government.
How in the bloody hell does an individual selling a firearm to another individual, when protected by a Constitution that says “shall not be infringed” turn into a loophole?
This is just tyranny. It’s a loophole, to a tyrant who demands total control and power over citizens. This is an idiot member of the Ruling Class dicating how the rest of us should live.
Kelly has not commented on whether he will also return the .45 caliber semi-automatic pistol he purchased.
Is he going to return it to the store? Or give it to the police to disarm himself? I’m actually okay with people like him turning in their guns – he shouldn’t have them, as he’s a coward kneeling before the dominance of tyrants, and a useful idiot who wishes to make others kneel as well.
He should return it. Like all anti-gun lunatics, he should actively be opposed to it, since it’s so incredibly powerful and destructive and should never be trusted in the hands of any mortal man (except for the state’s enforcers who control the stupid serf rabble, of course) – he should know the full power of the 1911 .45 ACP, because it can be used to down aircraft. Seriously.
There was a time in the past when we used to recognize firearms as tools used to defend freedom. It was not admiring the sword for its sharpness, but for its capacity to defend, to paraphrase Tolkien. The sharpness aspect may be neat, but it’s ultimately less important than the freedom and life which it preserves.
